5 Awesome Disney movies

I have loved Disney movies as long as I can remember. I can watch them over and over again. Some of them, I know so well that I can say every sentence just before they are said.  These are my 5 favorite Disney movies with ‘kinda human beings’ in them.

1. The little mermaid

The little mermaid movie review

Directors: Ron Clements, John Musker
Writers: Ron Clements, John Musker and more
Stars: Jodi Benson, Samuel E. Wright, Rene Auberjonois and more

IMDB score: 7.6/10
My score: 8/10

The story

The mermaid saves a man from a sinking ship. She falls in love and wants to see the world above the sea. She gives her voice in exchange for legs and finds the man. She has three days to get him to love her, or she will lose her soul. Without a voice, that is pretty hard plus the fact that she has no idea what everything is and goes.  The bad seawitch is also being a bitch.

My opinion:

I love the setting of the movie. It is still a fairytale, but it is so funny and the music is catchy. I always loved Ariel and wanted to be her. Maybe she is the reason I always want red hair.

Favorite song:

Definitely ‘Under the sea’ with ‘Kiss the girl’ on a close second.

2: Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the beast movie review

Directors: Gary Trousdale, Kirk Wise
Writers: Linda Woolverton, Brenda Chapman and more
Stars: Paige O’Hara, Robby Benson, Jesse Corti and more

IMDB score: 8/10
My score: 8.5/10

The story

A smart well-read girl from a small village finds her life boring and wants an adventure. When her father gets captured by a beast, she offers herself up so he is safe.

After she finds out that the furniture talks, she gets a lot of questions and they help make her imprisonment as comfortable as possible. It appears to be a curse and the beast is a prince.

Once the beast falls in loves with her, he lets her go because her dad is in danger. Gaston, a guy who wants to marry Belle, is going to kill the beast when he finds out there is a beast. Belle is going back to save the beast and the furniture.

My opinion:

I love Belle. I always loved reading, so I did not get why she is one of the least popular princesses. Well, no friends of mine like her best. The songs are beautiful and meaningful.

Favorite song:

Can not choose between ‘Belle’ and ‘Gaston’

3: Moana

Moana movie review

Directors: Ron Clements, John Musker
Writers: Jared Bush, Ron Clements and more
Stars: Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Rachel House and more

IMDB score: 7.6/10
My score: 8.3/10

The Story:

Moana is the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. She loves the sea. The fishermen can’t catch any fish and the crops fail. Demigod Maui caused this by stealing the heart of Te Fiti, a goddess. Moana sets off to bring the heart back and she meets Maui. Together they try to fix nature.

My opinion:

This movie teaches to much! It shows that people can be different than they look, something small can mean something big. And of course, if you have a magic hook, you can change forms. The songs are very nice and different than other Disney movies.

Favorite song:

‘You’re welcome’

Writers: Jennifer Lee, Hans Christian Anderson and more
Stars: Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and more

IMDB score: 7.6/10
My score: 8.3/10

The story:

Anna and Elsa were best friends when they were young, but that changed when Elsa hit Anna with her ice magic. After their parents die, Elsa is crowned to be the queen. Anna meets Hans, a prince from the southern isles and says yes to his proposal to marry him.

Elsa freaks out and splurges out with her magic. She builds a castle of ice up on the mountain and Anna goes to get her back. A lot goes wrong. Can she save Arendelle?

My opinion:

This is just a feel-good singalong movie. The story is funny and learns you how much love can do. I like to watch it when I am cooking, so I can sing along.

Favorite song:

Both the ‘For the first time in Forever’. But why make 2 songs with the same name?
