After a wave of suicides, it is difficult to survive. There is something out there that makes you kill yourself if you look at it.  Malorie survived a lot of crazy in five years. She ends up with somebody she loves and two kids. One of her own and one of a woman who killed herself.

After all those years, there is a message on the radio. A safe haven at the end of the river. She takes the chance and follows the river. What is it that makes you kill yourself and will she make it?

My opinion:

I really wanted to watch the movie Birdbox, because the story sounds interesting. But I am horrible with jump scares and I read it is a pretty intense movie, so I decided not to watch it.

A friend told me it was not that scary, so with New Year’s Eve, we watched the movie. It is a pretty okay movie, but it is kinda weird. You have a lot of questions and some of them are not getting an answer. But I am happy I watched it, the story and the actors are really good.

There are too many questions left unanswered and some things just did not make sense. Driving a car blind, running through the woods blind and even rowing a boat on a wild river while not seeing a thing.

The ending is also a bit disappointing. They really could make an awesome series from this storyline, but they didn’t. It is a very weak end.

Even if you are afraid of horror and thriller movies, this movie is doable. I had one moment I was afraid that something would jump up, but it didn’t.

I do not have the feeling I will watch Birdbox again and there are some mysteries in the movie, which is why it only gets a 6 and not higher.

This movie could have been amazing, but they failed. It is still a movie I say you should watch, but well, I watch good and very very bad movies.

What movie do you think I should watch?
